Highlights
- Tankers’ PSC Performance is better than the overall fleet, as they have advanced vetting procedures in place due to theTMSA and SIRE Inspection regime.
- Some ports (with increased number of tankers PSCIs) have significant higher KPIs than Global Average. For example, the detention rate of Singapore on tankers is 5 times the global average. Additionally, Tuapse seems to be also a challenging PSC station for tankers.
- USA ports (New York/New Orleans) may have a lower figure of DPI/DER, however this should be attributed to the high standards they enforce, making preparation for a call a necessity in most of the cases.
- North west Europe Main Ports (Antwerp, Rotterdam) are equally strict for tankers PSC Inspections.
